At SKINIUS, working doesn't just mean performing our duties professionally. It means doing so with care, responsibility, and love, to create products designed for the well-being of people, skin, and the planet. We have always paid attention to every action, every choice, every ingredient.

For us, acting this way has always been natural, but today we have chosen to make this commitment even clearer and more recognizable. With the help of experts, we have analyzed our practices, measured the results, and shaped a path that we rationalize each year with greater awareness.

Office life

We are committed to reducing the use of single-use plastic: in 2025, we replaced 100% of plastic bottles with water bottles and distribute the water consumed in the office using large water dispensers that we then return to the supplier for refilling. This has eliminated approximately 5,500 plastic bottles per year.

100% of the paper we use in the office is FSC certified, and in the last year, we have reduced the printing of catalogs and brochures by 50%, favoring the use of QR codes for viewing promotional and commercial content.

Electrical and electronic equipment is returned to suppliers in 95% of cases. Only 5% is disposed of by the company, in compliance with the relevant legislation (Legislative Decree 14 March 2014 n. 49, which implements European Directive 2012/19/EU on WEEE, which came into force on 13 August 2012).

60% of corporate documents are digitized, contributing to reducing paper use and improving regulatory efficiency.

Packaging

All our packaging materials – even multi-component ones like airless containers – are easily disposable due to their simple disassembly, which allows for easy sorting of the product into the correct waste category.

Our packaging, shopping bags, and brochures are all printed on FSC Mix certified paper, as indicated on the label. This means that our cardboard does not come from illegal logging but from controlled processes that, under the supervision of an international body, guarantee the planned replanting of felled trees.

100% of our boxes are free of the external plastic film, sometimes used in the cosmetic sector to cover the packaging. We chose not to use it as it is difficult to separate and adds no real value to the product.

In 2024, we reduced the plastic used for shipping by 50%, recovering and reusing 95% of packaging cardboard.

100% of the window decals and trade/POP materials use Airlite technology, which works through the combined action of air and light. Activated by UV rays, it neutralizes pollutants in the air, keeping treated surfaces clean.

Products

The airless bottles used by SKINIUS preserve the product's properties, minimizing the percentage of preservatives needed in the formulations, extending their shelf life, and thereby reducing waste.

For spray sunscreens, we guarantee a minimum emptying of 98% of the bag-on-valve, thanks to technology that prevents waste and leftover product.

Dermagenia Daylife cream contains the active ingredient 'vegetative water from olives,' whose extraction by the supplier follows a process that uses raw material obtained from the cold pressing of olives from a Sicilian oil mill, in a circular economy perspective.

Governance

Many of the manufacturing plants where our products are made are certified to ISO 9001, which attests to the existence of a Quality Management System for processes.

Our Italian suppliers are preferably selected close to our facilities: 80% of them are located within an average distance of 30 km from the SKINIUS operational headquarters, while the remaining 20% are situated within 100 km. This strategic choice allows us to optimize logistics and conduct quality controls directly on-site, ensuring efficiency and high standardization.

We are, and always have been, a privately-owned Italian company, and we intend to remain so. Our greatest strength is being a family business with a short decision-making chain, thanks to integrated and complementary management expertise. We guarantee a "Made in Italy" production chain for all manufacturing processes, and even for formula and packaging design.

We use updated management systems and new digital tools to streamline the management of business processes, limiting the number of internal/external emails and phone calls by approximately 75% thanks to a shared internal communication decalogue regarding email flow and calls.

We demonstrate the brand's commitment by giving maximum importance to customer care, which is managed internally, strengthening trust and the relationship with the customer and prioritizing the scientific value of the product over mere commercial strategies.

We have won two ELLE Beauty Awards in the “Green and Clean” category:

  • In 2023 for the Dermagenia DayLife Cream with the following motivation: "Olive water, moringa, organic olive oil, marjoram plus a pool of sugars and hydrolyzed yeast proteins in a clean and transversal formula rich in antioxidants. To support the skin in the daily challenge against stress, smog and blue light."

  • In 2024 with the Reusable Rimage Patches with the following motivation: "soft, thin, and ergonomic, after use they are washed with neutral soap, rinsed, and dried before new use."

LIFE AT THE COMPANY

We believe it's important to work in a healthy environment that offers all colleagues dedicated spaces for relaxation. That's why we've created an 'Office Garden' in our offices, a space full of plants and greenery where people can gather, recharge, and take a break from the work pace.

We pay close attention to the well-being of the people with whom and for whom we work (employees, clients, partners, suppliers, communities): our approach is based on kindness, respect, and empathy.

COMMUNITY

During Dermamese, we organize awareness and free training campaigns for pharmacists on issues related to the correct management of dermatological problems. In 2024, approximately 1450 pharmacists were trained in 18 Italian Regions.

We offer free shipping in Italy for purchases made on the website; this ensures greater accessibility for consumers, regardless of their geographical location, preventing those living in less-served areas from incurring additional costs of €7 to €15 for each order.

PHILOSOPHY

Longevity skincare is not just a beauty concept. On a social level, educating people about longevity means promoting a conscious approach to skincare, based on balance and health rather than the immediate correction of signs of aging. We believe it is a way to raise consumer awareness towards beauty that is more in harmony with time and more inclusive of different life stages.

The above is part of a voluntary effort that SKINIUS makes to go beyond current legislation, adopting even more virtuous practices.

Furthermore, regulations and laws, which are mandatory for everyone to observe, require European manufacturers to:

  • Not test products on animals
  • Place on the market only products assessed as safe for human health
  • Place on the market products whose claimed efficacy has been evaluated
  • Manufacture products in compliance with "Good Manufacturing Practices"

These legal obligations are valid throughout Europe as they are provided for by the Community legislator in the interest of the consumer: we felt it was right and pertinent to mention them to inform the consumer of the protections adopted by the industry in order to encourage continued trust in the companies that are part of it and that market cosmetic products in the European Union.
